I always have the pleasure working with the best and easy going clients. Lauren was one of them as she is also a great friend. She is a very talented Hair Stylist who is starting a new journey with a side business, the Lauren O Boutique Hair Collective.

She wanted something soft, modern with some movement and it all came down to the use of typography. The brand mark is her initials combined with curved strokes to resemble a hair curl and the movement of hair. And we are both super happy with the result.

It’s been a while since I’ve made a blog post. 2016 came in like a lion and exited like a lamb. So this new year has started off at a slower pace and it’s perfect. More time to design things I love. I will be updating the shop with some new prints and eliminating and discontinuing some as well. I made a promise to myself to design one thing each day, whether it’d be an illustration, personal project or updating my design style, and be more active in my blog posts, and January made it hard for me to keep those promises But I’m sticking to them. Here’s one I created yesterday which has me left longing for spring and color and sunshine. It warms my heart. Happy February friends xx.

It has been a crazy busy week with work. Another great reminder to give thanks each and every day for the work I have and all the¬†wonderful things happening in my life. I’m constantly repeating those two words to myself all day long. You can never express enough gratitude! Enjoying the last bits of spring, although I’m feeling it’s been a short one and a cold one too. These magnolia blooms are almost gone for good, so for the love of pink, I created a little wallpaper for you all! Enjoy!

I have been wanting to share this new brand identity for so long now. Monica and I have been working on this for over a year now and due to both our busy mom/work schedules we finally completed this project. Her vision of her brand was to have a timeless, clean and classic feel to it, after all it is an image consulting company so she wanted her brand to make a great first impression.
