I’d like to present a brand new identity I had the pleasure designing. I went from designing the brand identity of one children’s concept store The Mini Life to the next. The one led me to the other which is why I feel so fortunate. I met Mariko via Instagram when she was on the hunt for a designer, and we quickly connected. She is starting her own children’s concept store in Dallas, Texas. Her little boy is her what inspired her, so we dedicated the entire identity to him and his world. His own kingdom. And nothing suited it more than the figure of a marching little boy with a winding key on his back. An element that would appeal to children and adults alike. A modern-day classic yet whimsical at the same time. The palette she wanted was monochrome to keep it as clean & simple as possible. I loved the result, and I cannot wait until her store is launched. You will also see some variations underneath of the design process and how the design was finalized.
